24 hours after saying goodbye to Las Vegas, we are now safely home in New Zealand. We are all feeling jet lagged and dying for a good sleep. Before I do, I just wanted to swing by and say hello.
After eight magic days in Sin City, famous for drinking and gambling, I’m excited to let you know that I didn’t give into the bright lights and allure of the drink. The cheap and free flowing alcohol was everywhere. Those icy cold piña colada slushies available along The Strip were very enticing on those hot Vegas days and nights.
Before we left, I was absolutely petrified at the prospect of going to Vegas with some big drinkers. Let’s be honest, it’s Sin City – everyone goes there to drink and gamble! Except a small handful. But throughout the trip, the more I saw people get wasted, the more I was thankful for being sober and therefore able to grow my memories of Las Vegas.
Over the comming days, I look forward to sharing the Sober Vegas Vacation lessons I learned. I hope that sharing my experience might help provide someone out there with ideas about how they can also have a wonderful vacation while remaining true to their alcoholfree journey.
Finally, thank you to all of you, the wonderful sober bloggers and readers of my little blog. Your encouragement, compassion and support before and during this vacation was powerful beyond measure. I am truely humbled by your support. Thank you.
